Yes. The only reason to live in Los Angeles, where I’ve been since the late ’70s, is if you have something to do with the entertainment industry. Everything you can experience in Los Angeles, you can have a much better version of in Portland—including, very basically, the air you breathe.
My thoughts exactly on LA. Quite a magical place though and great memories.

RIP Aaron
I met Aaron at Y! Combinator back in 2006. He was quiet, didn’t make eye contact, and we talked for maybe 10 to 15 minutes. It was awkward to say the least but I respected the work that he had accomplished for being just 19 or 20. I understand depression all too well and I understand that fight. Aaron lost that fight yesterday. Just sad.
